An alliance for a strong social Europe
ESIP is an alliance of statutory social insurances. Our 46 member organisations cover over 370 million European citizens in 19 EU Member States and Switzerland. Our mission is to preserve the quality of social protection in Europe. We do this by providing a strategic network and a platform for consultation of European policy-makers.

What we do
The development of the European Single Market and in particular the free movement of citizens across the European Union call for greater cooperation between national social insurance systems. To this end, the European Social Insurance Platform was created in 1996 and since January 2009, ESIP exists as a legal entity under Belgian law.
