ESIP elects its new President

On 30 November 2016, during its General Assembly, the European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP) elected its new president, Arnaud Emériau.
Arnaud Emériau succeeds ESIP’s founder Dr Franz Terwey who retired after 23 years of active advocacy in Brussels. The newly elected president will work in close collaboration with Ilka Wölfle who was elected as vice-president of ESIP.

Arnaud Emériau succeeds ESIP’s founder Dr Franz Terwey who retired after 23 years of active advocacy in Brussels. The newly elected president will work in close collaboration with Ilka Wölfle who was elected as vice-president of ESIP.
Reacting to his election, Arnaud Emériau expressed his desire to give ESIP a new impulse to cement the Platform as the key actor of social security at European level.

Born in 1982 and a graduate of Sciences Po Lille, Arnaud Emériau has a strong background and expertise in the health and social security sectors. He previously worked at the French National Health Insurance Fund for Salaried Workers (CNAMTS) then in the public affairs consulting firm nile, specifically on health issues. Since September 2013, Arnaud Emériau has held the position of permanent delegate at the European Representation of the French Social Security System (REIF) and will continue to do so.

Born in 1977 and a lawyer by profession, Ilka Wölfle has had a successful career as an interest representative on the European stage as she previously worked in the German Bar Association in Brussels. Since 2007, she has worked in the European Representation of the German social security system (DSV) as the representative for the German statutory accident insurance and will now be taking on the position of Director of DSV.
