The European Commission puts forward its proposal for a targeted revision

ESIP will follow with attention these developments and underlines the need to preserve the sustainability of social security systems.

The targeted revision of the coordination rules will focus five major aspects : access to benefits of economically inactive persons, unemployment benefits, long-term care benefits, parental leave allowances and the link with the posting of workers. In addition, several technical amendments have been made. ESIP welcomes in principle the intention to modernize the rules and provide more legal certainty.
